I have been on and off of Klonopin for years. It was my magic cure. Similar, one tablet at day and two night. Weaning is the hard part which I did three times for pregnancy. I couldn't agree more. Don't let yourself suffer if there is a treatment that you need. I just found a new psychiatrist who I thought would start to immediately wean me off....he did not. He took my entire health view into account and said you may never be off of a Benzo. Agree the effects take longer over time. I will sometimes dose down a pill or half for a few months to ensure I don't need to increase again. Just some advice to avoid getting to need too much. I have friends flagged at pharmacies who now struggle as their doses just went up. Pharmacies don't have to fill if they feel it is an issue and too high of a dose. Also remember you are now dependent on a Benzo. Don't do anything cold turkey as you don't need to be worrying about a random potential seizure. I'm sure you know all of this, but just wanted to share I am on a similar regimen! I also take Remeron for depression which seems to be working better than traditional SSRIs.
i came off venlafaxine ones i went on some thing called dulxatine i dont know if i spelt that wright i was so ill on them i was 8-2 and went down to 6st i have been so ill all the time coming of pills going on different ones i can not do that again i just get so ill does the ones you are on help with anxiety
Yes, the Klonopin helps for anxiety. Just cautious with quantity. There is something newer in use that I swear is saving my life both physically and mentally. It is Low Dose Naltrexone. This drug is what alcoholics use to avoid withdrawal and opioid addiction. Those doses are 50-100mgs. I am on 3mgs a day. It is made at a custom pharmacy. My life is in a total crisis.....parent dying, dealing with custody of kids, lost my physical health, lost my job, and clearly my mental health tanked. Since I started LDN, I literally feel like a new person. It treats depression, parkinsons, chrons, fibromyalgia, the list goes on and on. I'm attaching just random article for you to read.....so you can read how and why the medication is so effective. LDN is saving my life right now! Still on Klonopin though three times a day too.
Clonazepam is a Wonderful drug! I had been on it for 15+ years. Taking 1 tablet in the morning and 1 tablet at night. I felt it was time to wean off it and only take as needed occasionally when stressed or having a bad day. I weaned myself off it, reducing a quarter of a tablet a week. This worked well for me and have not missed being on it!
