That's a great question and in your age group image is focused on so much

I'm older and I also work in the medical field. I look at scars as survival wounds. Whether it was and operation or a self inflicted scar I see the pain and the healing process.

If someone cares about you, scars shouldn't make a difference. I know some will cover them until they feel comfortable so they won't get judged.

Whatever you have been through you will get your self esteem and self worth back at some point. I think then none of this will weigh so heavily on you
