How to get psych evaluation in America

Any advice/help on where to start when looking for a psychiatrist that can potentially give me a diagnosis?

My primary doctor diagnosed me with anxiety and depression, but I still feel off despite trying to regulate through medication and other sources.

I don't have insurance and the psychiatrists in my area cost around $300+ just for the initial visit out of pocket.

Any help would be appreciated because I have no idea where to start and I know I need help so I can figure out what is going on. Thank you!
