If anybody is and you’re up late let me know man I always been a night owl and my brain goes a million miles an hour and my anxiety is worse at dark. sometimes it’s nice to have someone to talk to and not feel so alone. night owl.
yes. I listen to talk radio in bed which helps distract my overactive mind. Audio books are good too.
yes, the one two punch of anxiety/depression and feeling alone
Its always good to have someone to talk to late at night
Trust me I know how u feel depression hits harder when I sit n bed at night
U can always message me I won't think it's weird at all I know how u feel I'm up now but seems like everyone is going to bed ill b up
What are you listening to?
In the daytime, we feel energetic, hopeful and our minds so creative and loud. But the nighttime will come and we step out to gaze at the stars. We'll talk less, feel more. We carry the heavy burdens of the past, present and future and sometimes we let it consume us too much, causing that overwhelming anxiety.
Oh no no no. 😱 I made the mistake of listening to King in bed just once. I picked up Mr. Mercedes, remembering it was a detective novel. It'd been a while since I'd read it and I forgot... well, if you've read it, you probably know what I forgot.
I drifted off to the land of peaceful slumbers, and woke an hour or so later screaming. I kid you not. (Betcha Mr. King would enjoy that.)
No way I'd listen to the audiobook of Fairy Tale, but I'm curious to know what you think. Is it worth a read?
It follows after Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead. Not as good as the others, but it passes the time.
Thanks! I'll look forward to it.
My favorite of King's is "The Reach". If I remember correctly, it's a novella.
Of his longer works, I think I enjoyed The Green Mile most. I read it when it was first released as a series of short paperbacks. Much better than the film.
If you're up for scarier stuff these days, Darabont's film of King's The Mist is terrific. Not mainstream Hollywood though.
May I recommend Ender's Game? It won both the Hugo and Nebula awards. As did it's sequel Speaker for the Dead. They're both terrific. The audiobook is done full-cast and it's great too.
Don't waste your time with the film. Yuck.
Sign me up for the club too lol. I'm nocturnal just like my 🦔
