Duloxetine from Paroxetine to prozac

My psychiatrist put me on 120mg of Duloxetine from 20mg of Paroxetine. I want to go on Prozac instead and have some control over dosages. Anyone experienced this?

Why don’t you talk to your doctor about what you want?

Because my psychiatrist won’t make the changes my doctor won’t ‘undermine’ him.

Am I entitled to ask and try?

I would ask my psychiatrist if I could try Prozac.

Why do you want to go on Prozac

I was taking Duloxetine until 7/1/19 for nerve pain, Depression & Anxity..didn't like the side effects & went off cold turkey

Than about a month ago was prescribe Prozac for the first time for Major Depression, finally the side affects have waned but I'm hesitant to take the full dose I was suppose to start last week

It’s such a minefield isn’t it? I took Paroxetine 20-30mg for almost 30 years.

New psychiatrist changed me to max dose of Duloxetine but I can’t have any control. I DO Love the weight loss but hate the lack of control
