I have had anxiety/panic syndrome since early college, as well as developing depression in my 30's. I am now 60. The main things that help me are exercise, which I've totally dropped during the holidays. I take medication (the depression medication is very helpful, but not the anxiety medication.)
I would like to connect with other women in similar situations just to chat and discuss symptoms, what works and doesn't work, and to have someone to talk to about this that understands. Thank you!

I'm a male, but I still want to welcome you to this group/community.
Hi Luna Child, thanks for your message. What meds have they prescribed for you? I have Lexapro for depression (works well - 20mg per day) and Gabapentin for anxiety. That just doesn't seem to reduce the type of anxiety i have. It makes me sleepy, but that's about it.
For your symptoms being worse in the morning, have you tried staying in bed before getting up and listening to some meditation apps on your phone ? just an idea.
