I was just given the DARE resource from someone else. I found this video while looking through the anti anxiety ones. I truly hope this helps! youtube.com/watch?v=Tb65xH-...
Actually, you are suffering from an obsessive personality disorder. This means that you have a lot of obsessive thoughts but do not have compulsive behaviors.
This can be difficult to treat but it is an anxiety-related disorder and basic anxiety reduction techniques can be useful. These include meditation, mindfulness, physical exercise and so forth.
In particular, mindfulness encourages you to stay focused on what you are doing and to stay in the moment. This can be very helpful in reducing intrusive or obsessive thoughts. You might find it helpful to see a therapist if you can, or to do some reading on your own about dealing with obsessive thoughts. There are probably hundreds of books on the topic as well as hundreds of posts on YouTube. Look through them and see what you think might be helpful. Do not expect immediate or quick results, but be persistent.
thanks for your advice , regards therapy I’m currently on a waiting list , unfortunately here in the uk the waiting list is about 3 months, I have found some helpful podcasts . And I’m currently studying the idea of removing myself from the mind and focusing in on my consciousness which seems to help sometimes.
