off. Anax and onto Busparone Advice please

coming off Xanax bad first few days then just halved the dose slowly and became all right almost off completely. Now they want me on busparone anyone with advice . BTW Xanax worked for my months long anxiety attack . Better when I work no time for the anxious mind to take hold. Exercise music and bible apps work as well as Calm app

My experience with Buspar wouldn’t necessarily reflect how your experience would be. It can be beneficial, though. Let’s hope it will be for you. 🏄‍♀️😊

Hi, I think you have nailed it! The key is to go slowly - really slowly. I reduced my dose from 2mg per day to zero over a 12 month period without any major issues. I agree that staying busy helps a lot - work is a great way to keep focus and stay active.

Buspar isn't something I have used although I have read it can be useful - just don't expect the same immediate relief that you get with Xanax. Good luck

Thanks for your reply . Went fast was only on 0.5 but had withdrawal symptoms for day and a half but have used Xanax over 18 years but only for occasional anxiety. This last episode was a big one took over a month but resolved. Going to try nothing for a few weeks and see what happens. Again thanks
