Ritalin usage for TX resistant depression

Hello, I am going to try to get a prescription for Ritalin due to years of treatment resistant depression. Like many others, I tried all the major antidepressants, which did nothing at all. I’m wondering if any other people with treatment resistant depression have had a good experience with Ritalin? Also, does anyone know if you can drink with very careful moderation when using it? Such as one beer at a time? Or do you have to completely forgo any alcohol at all when using this medication. Thank you.

I take methylphenidate. Over the years haven’t found it to be very helpful as an add on to try to help with depression. Have you tried some of the new antipsychotic medication ?

Hi. I just recently asked my Dr. for ritalin for the days I feel my antidepressants aren't working at all. I find it does help boost my other meds. I don't need it everyday, but as of now , I find it helpful.
