Welcome Hello182829 :)I think we have to be careful in how we put labels on our emotions.
After a while, we can start believing it. I have always suffered with anxiety
and agoraphobia but never depression. I say "never depression" because
I didn't feel sad, I was just darn right afraid. Afraid of everything.
Another thing is that I never told myself that I suffered from a mental issue.
For me, it was a pass in knowing that I could/would get better and I did.
Therapy helped me address my fears and allowed me to go forward.
The fact that you are feeling depressed when alone at home doesn't necessarily
have to mean you suffer from depression. Maybe it's loneliness or fear of being
alone which can be quite common for many of us
Thinking "depression" when meeting people you don't like can be more of a
social issue. Do you suffer from Self-Esteem issues or Confidence?

Welcome, glad you are here! Do you live with family? I know if I don't interact with people for very long periods of time I get depressed. We all need connection with good friends. However I am an introvert and too much stimulation irritates me.
