has anyone come off venlafaxine.

how did you wean yourself of it.

Hi there I understand you want to come off venlafaxine before you do anything run it past your doctor as you should really come off this gradually the side affects can be bad for some people !I my self are on venlafaxine and it's working well good luck what ever you chose to do !

Sound advice & I say the same to everyone who is given thoughts on other meds but ppl recommend without knowing a person's medical history but at least their own doctor is in the best place to advise .

I agree F93 but why not pack a picnic & go to a walk in centre ( yes they're the worst but at least you can get the correct advice & it will get sent to ur doctors surgery & on file & after that's done call surgery & tell the receptionist who may think she is a security guard that what the drug is doing to u or not doing for u & u need to talk to him as its a matter of life or death & lay the desperation on thick in ur speech to receptionist , if U give them a bit of panic panic they pass u on

I would do a slow taper off of it to give your body and mind time to readjust. Get a pill cutter at your pharmacy if you need one. There is a lot of info on the web about tapering and from what I have read you usually want to do it longer than a doctor recommends.
