hey all. I’m having a bout of horrible anxiety. Can’t eat, can’t work. Suggestions? I’m not alone right?

Welcome. I am sorry that you are suffering. You are definitely not alone. There are many people on this forum who share your struggle.

You are definitely not alone. I'm struggling too. In fact right now I'm making myself go to a store. Not because I need anything from there but I need to prove to myself that I can do it and I'm the cure. Anxiety is a lie that tells me I should be afraid when I shouldn't be.

I started out doing small goals. Just sitting in a car by myself for 5 mins at night. Can't do it on the day cause it's hot here 😂 but small goals. Like sitting outside is a good start of you're afraid to like leave the house. Remember focus on the step not the entire staircase.

This is really helpful. Sitting in the car is genius…. Focus on the step not the entire staircase. I love that

Well I'm glad you find that helpful ☺️A lot of times we get caught up in trying to get better as quick as possible. That we have to heal quickly. But healing takes time and it's a practice. Small steps lead to bigger steps.

Just remember to go at your own pace. You'll get there when you get there 💖

You are so not alone. I'm also going through this right now. Was ok for a while and think maybe I need to go back on medication now. Starting a new job and its totally overwhelming. (among other things). Always here if you need to chat. Feel free to send me a PM.

I was feeling so great after a few months of being very sick…even hospitalized. Started back to work and after a week I was unable to leave my house again. Seems like it came out of nowhere. Thanks for responding. Always here as well

that's tough and I get it. I'm starting a new job next week and I am terrified and so nervous. Transitions are hard for me, and likely most anxious people. Hang in there. message me anytime.

So not alone. I agree with baby step approach and daily positive affirmations. See if you can ask yourself what is producing the anxiety to better face it and address it.

Yes, you are definitely not alone, anxiety has eclipsed depression as the number one mental issue in the US. Are you doing any therapy for it? Hope you are doing better today.
