Hey guys! On Thursday morning I woke up with a rash on my right hand, I phoned pharmacy and sent photos and they gave me hand wash, this morning I woke up with the same rash on my right hand but 100x worse!!! With health anxiety it makes me so scared does anyone know what this could be? It only appears when I first wake up 😩 xxxx

Looks like hives , maybe a antihistamine?

They recommended antihistamine over the phone :) I’ve been super stressed lately so I’m wondering if it’s maybe that!

This might sound dumb what if it's from some medication

Is it only when you wake up and then it goes away?

Is your home warmer than usual? It could be heat rash... I have had that a few times at random times.

It’s literally only in the morning when I wake up and then it fades a lot during the day! I sleep with my hand under my pillow and my head on top so would make sense! I know it sounds silly me worrying but that’s health anxiety for you :( xx

Girl it does not sound silly I can't even tell you the stuff my brain has come up with I once had a patch of skin that was slightly rough and discolored on on arm and I swore I had skin cancer.

Honestly it sounds like heat rash. I would wash all your bedding and pillow cases in the wash and then spray your bed with lysol. Just to be sure it's not like your saliva or stuff or your pillow. I sleep with my arms and hands under my pillow too sometimes in the summer and winter I have gotten this.. I've had it from the sun too.

If it's still there in 4 days then just got see your family doctor.

Easier said than done I know because with health anxiety waiting is a horrific feeling but honestly here is the good part....

-Anything serious or deadly won't dissappear for any amount of time.

-It will usually get worse

-4 days won't kill you and you don't have to be scared if it doesn't go away in 4 days just means you may need a cream or something. But not deadly.

- lastly I know you have heard this one we all have. Try to breathe and keep your body calm because we make our bodies worse and symptoms pop up more when we are scared.

I have horrible health anxiety if u want to chat and go over it again I'll be here :)

It's ok to cry alittle sometimes we need it.. I've been crying for 2 days on and off. I've been having some anxiety too and that's why this forum is great to connect with people who honestly understand and get it.

Our brain Is a fantastic storymaker and it tends to lie don't let it bully you. A wonderful friend tells me this alot.

Sending love ❤️

Yes,, if your bed is too hot then that could be why it’s only in the morning when you wake 👍

I have something similar yet different: I have this horrible itching on both forearms that starts in early evening and continues until morning. There is no redness or rash. I put a roll-on liquid pain reliever that contains 16% menthol on it. That is the only thing that gives me relief. During the time I have the itching I am also extremely tired and sleepy. All my blood work is normal.

Littlechopsxo, I'm far from a dermatologist, but I do know that I've got l've developed similar rashes when I've been real stressed out and anxious. I really hope it's not painful or too annoying for you.🙏.xxxx
