Fired
Happened to me 1 time! I was angry, hurt & sort of lost. I am here for you B-bunny. That sounds kinda funny. Made me smile
Makes me appreciate my therapist I had some time ago. She was one of a kind. I still miss her. My insurance was threatening her to let me go. Can you believe Medicare was threatening her? Their reasons were if I didnt show signs of improvement by a certain time frame, she would have to cut me loose.
She fought back. They denied paying her. But being she's a licensed counselor she said I'm allowed to donate my services so you're my donation ☺️ she saw me free for over a year and made me her last client of the day so I would get 2hr session with her and walk her back to her car.
Saddens me she ain't with us anymore. They really don't make them like her it seems 💔
I feel for you B Bunny. I hope you'll find someone to give you the proper care you deserve ❤️
I missed a week when I had pneumonia and after that I my spot had been taken. She told me some numbers to call but yeah. I'm very upset.
I did but over tge course of tge break she gave me spot to another patient and now there isnt a spot
Hi bookishbunny it a shame your therapist has dropped you did she give a reason if not I might be worth looking into her ability to practice psychology I would move on and get another therapist there should be plenty around good luck all the best
"My therapist of over a year just fired me. I have never felt so alone and broken."
That's happened to me not once, but twice.
.
Try not to take it personally. Some therapists out there only want easy cases to deal with. (AKA very mild anxiety or depression cases)
If anything, take this as a sign that who you were seeing wasn't a good therapist/good fit for you, and that there are much better ones out there.
She literally told me at the beginning of the session after I couldn't reach anyone in the office. She told me this was it and why and we ended early.
Hey, fire her!!!! She sounds terrible to do this to you. Find someone else.
One thought,, write her an email stating you are still unclear, and your understanding of the termination of your treatment.. straightforward with no commentary. If she responds with an answer, send it to the state board of social work, psychology, or counseling what ever profession she belongs to. If you are in U.S. I can tell you more what to write if you get to this point. She is not doing anything illegal, but it could be violating their code of ethics. She gets sanctioned.
