Who has experience with online support groups?

Hi all,

Interested to hear your experience. I'm feeling isolated and am considering this as a way to feel more socially connected. I don't know much about what's out there. The alcoholics anonymous model seems appealing where mutual support and accountability is promoted, but not limited to alcoholics (I'm not one).

This is the only online group I have ever joined and would recommend it. My experience has been positive.So many kind, wonderful people have shared what works for them. Whenever I need support someone is there. Occasionally we have had some not so nice people but you can report them. I really hope you stay and have a good experience.

I joined health unlocked in u.s. for awhile. It felt too simplistic to me, lots of young folks. However I made a good friend out of it and we communicate regularly long distance. Its worth a try to find a group online, if not in person.
