Newbie with anxiety
Hi and welcome among friends! I'm sorry you have so much anxiety. That is so hard. Please reach out to someone you trust if you ever feel like ending your life. Life is precious and so are you! Do you have a therapist you can talk to about this? What have you done in the past to help with your anxiety? My psychiatrist likes to remind me that I've gotten through hard times before.

Hi Mylena. Completely understand you and yes unfortunately anxiety depression do take a toll on our physical health as well as drain our energy completely. That is why it is so important to try our best to stay in shape. I suffer from depression and anxiety and am medicated for it. Everyday I tried to push myself to do one physical activity whether it is walking, going swimming, or doing my stationary bike. Like today if I listen to myself I will just do nothing but I know what the result will be. My anxiety will just eat away at me internally and I will still feel tired not rested. So as soon as my partner has finished reading his paper we are going for a 4 km walk. You Are Not Alone is that. So many people are struggling just like you. You can write here and say what you like. You will be welcomed by a community of people who understand. Please take care of yourself first and foremost God bless🦋🌈🌻💫👏💫
Welcome Mylena. I understand how frightening anxiety can be. I woke up with my heart racing this morning. I hope you find comfort from folks at this site. I know I do. I find distraction to be an effective tool against anxiety and meditation. I will watch old tv comedies from the Eighties and nineties as part of my morning routine. Add as much humor to your day as possible. I will look for you here again.
What's causing it?
Hello and welcome to HU! I struggle with GAD and it's soo hard sometimes so I completely get where you are coming from!! It's a hard thing to deal with and others that don't have mental illness don't understand that it's not in our control and we can't just "turn our brain off" even though I wish we could!! I hope you find this community helpful and you are able to be yourself on this site. I hope all gets better for you. I know for me medication, therapy, and this site has helped me completely!!
