Does anyone else ever get confused by the emotions that they are feeling?
This past week has been rather difficult for me. I feel like (if asked) I am not sure which emotion I am feeling. Sometimes it is shame, other times it is sadness. Sometimes it is regret, and consistently it is fear.
How can we recognize the emotions that we are feeling? Does it matter? Should we identify them?

i don't think that we should be able to identify all the feelings all the time, it's ok not to know. but it would be good if you tried to write it, write what you think might be the causes of these feelings, share it if when you think that you're not supposed to feel that way, just living it and talking about it can help, learn more about youself and read more
Probably all of them. I think it is very helpful to try to work out your feelings. Start with asking where does your body feel it? In your stomach, head, arm? Keep a journal of how you feel and what happened that day. I had a therapist that would have her clients draw 3 shapes with no other expectations and then discuss them. That could be your journal. The type and arrangement may tell you something. Will probably tell you something. This is how you come to recognize the messages emotions are telling you.
