Hi I read this post with great interest especially as l am a black women who struggled with mental Heath difficulties all my life l felt great shame and spent a large period of my adult life hiding my difficult this was partly due to my families response to my pain . I know longer have a relationship with any of my family but l still struggle with sharing my true feelings about what is happening for me l appreciate you highlighting the stigma that some black communities experience in regards to mental health
