Eating Feelings

When I am in a depressive state I either have a high appetite or none at all. Lately I tend to binge eat my feelings. It makes me happy in the moment but later I feel even more down ant myself. I am usually a healthy eater. Am I the only one who does this and what do you do to help?

Hi there. My appetite either reduces or disappears entirely when very depressed. I try and have some "fast foods" available (a banana I can grab, an instant oatmeal pack that I just have to heat up, other foods that only require microwaving, etc).

I wish I could lose my appetite lol. I tend to not eat for hours and don’t have energy to make a healthy meal so I find myself eating snacks or ordering takeout. Honestly sometimes the thought of cutting a vegetable is so overwhelming.
