Hello everyone. I just wanted to drop a note of thanks.
Some days ago I posted a game - a little make believe exercise - in the hopes that it might give us a minute or two to step outside ourselves and imagine something joyful and stress-free (well… except for a few stray animals who found their way in …).
While I know it was goofy to ask adults to pretend in this way, I posted it because I needed an escape. You gave that to me - that, and so much more. I smiled and laughed. I was excited to check this site to see what new responses popped up and who else may have joined in. I thought pensively about birds, craved far too many desserts, and felt …. connected.
In the midst of our game, life happened. It was a very difficult week and I’m sorry I was not able to offer a conclusion right away. Rest assured the resolution is posted. Thank you for playing with me and for your willingness to be a little silly. Thank you for the likes, messages and comments, and the efforts you made toward building the story. Thank you for your kindnesses and inclusivity. Thank you for giving me a light to return to when things went dark. Thank you for making my world a little softer, my burdens, a little lighter, and my holiday season little brighter.
