Wow, what a great, special experience for you, i'm jealous - LOL. And you're right, getting to spend time so close to nature sure does wonders for our spirit and wellbeing. Thanks for sharing and the wonderful photos.
Yes that's right. Between mid November and the end of December each year there is an area of sandbanks and grassland with muddy creeks where the Grey seals come to have their pups and mate for the following year. There is a board walk from a car park created in the fields close by. It is a protected area and you can walk along with just a low fence between you and the seals which is to keep you out not them on!! Magical experience. We've been several times now. The baby seals respond to you by wriggling with delight and blinking their eyes if you talk to them in a gentle voice!! You can't touch then although they are not afraid of people and get really close up to the fence to get a good look at us I suppose. They can bite quite badly apparently but are wonderful to watch and photograph if you respect the rules.Best wishes.
Aww ☺️. They are definitely a site that brings calm to the heart. Realising the beauty of the natural world when life can be so disheartening at times.
Years ago we went to Northumberland for a school trip and we went to the Farne islands in a cable to see the seals and puffins there which was a great experience.
