Has anyone had problems waking up in the middle of the night? Is this common with anxiety?

Sleep?
For me it's not sleeping at night at all. And waking up whenever I do get the chance to sleep.
Yes... I have done it my whole life... but I also have always had to have one eye open and one foot on the ground as a kid growing up for various reasons.... that's my CPTSD from trauma. So yeah... I do wake up, have nightmares still, and just in general I don't sleep well...
Yes I have done that for many years. Finally told doctor and went for a sleep study. I have sleep apnea! Am waiting to get my cpap machine. All those years…..,,,,
IDK about anxiety but I often wake up at 3. If I am up too long I oversleep. Right now I have a cat that likes to be under the covers. Then she gets hot so she leaves then IDK how long after she decides to get back under the covers. She's not that good at it either. Always pawing the covers the wrong way. This goes on several times in a night. One one point I was kicking her out (not literally) which really pissed her off. At 5 or 6 she paws ME to wake me up as if I have had enough sleep. Just a little humor.
Bestie, it is very common. Just last night I woke up several times with anxiety. At it's worst, I've woken up every hour with it. I even meditate before bed but it still happens sometimes. Calming music, Xanax, and prayer eventually put me back to sleep so I can stay asleep until morning.
Hello this is very common with anxiety . I have been using a sleep meditation with app called balance but there are load of other apps or even YouTube videos you can use . It really helped me now I sleep through most nights . It took a few attempts for it to work , so don't give up if it doesn't help after one try .
Also journalling before bed help you put your mind at ease . And if you wake up in the night you can write it down and tell yourself to deal with it tomorrow . Plus it could indicate if there is a particular trigger for your sleeping problems
Here is a video with other tips
If you are still struggling you should speak to your doctor to see if there is an underlying cause or they can prescribe you something to help .
Take care 🐼
