I have had anxiety as long as I can remember--eventually leading to panic attacks. I have found some coping mechanisms like medications, meditation, prayer and exercise. But every now and again it flares up and my irrational thoughts take over and go into overdrive. I am happy I found this group. I have found some ways to tame my anxiety but it can still control me at times. I find that many people don't really get what it's like and so I am happy to have found this group who can relate to this condition.

Introducing myself
Hi new friend and Welcome to this safe and amazing forum.Oh we sure understand Anxiety and Panic Attacks. I don't know many
of us who haven't experienced it.
Anxiety will always try to sneak into your mind when it gets a chance. It tries
to program "what if" thoughts of fear and if we go with that thought, the panic
follows.
You see the Mind and Body have a special connection and so what we think is what
we get. If we learn through other tools/methods to break that connection, anxiety
backs off and runs like the coward it is.
I'm happy you are here with us. It's going to be okay. Learn from others who like yourself

You are among friends. I new tool is the Wim Hof guided breathing exercises, free on you tube. I do em 2-3-4 times daily if needed. First thing in the morning for sure. And a 5 minute pure cold shower! Lol
thanks I will definitely check it out.
