I think so. My wife's been taking it for years. If she misses a day, she'll take half of one in the morning and then her usual one at night.
Yes it can be. I mean you still might want to talk to your prescriber, but my mom is a nurse and has told me before that I can split my Sertraline dose when it seemed like it was making me light headed (I ended up decreasing my dose instead).
