My thoughts on Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events

Fun fact: I don’t usually go for dark humor. As a highly sensitive person, at least not most of the time. But Lemony Snicket is an exception. Love A Series of Unfortunate Events. It has just enough. The right amount, not bland or over seasoned either. This has been my favorite series. I also love that he writes

children as intelligent and tells them about the world in a direct way, and one they can understand. Love the illustrations from Brett Helquist too

Hello animefan94. I saw that that you enjoyed children depicted as intelligent in Lemony Snicket. Perhaps you'll enjoy Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. It's a terrific book (nothing like the film), and won both the Hugo and Nebula awards, the highest honors in the sf field.
