Urgent Medication Question

NewBeginnings2018 profile image

My life has been more busy than usual and I didn’t realize I didn’t have any more refills of my Sertraline. I’m calling this morning to get into my psychiatrist, but I’m also going out of town for a week on Friday. In the event I can’t get into seeing my psychiatrist before I go out of town, are they required to give you enough of your medication to get you to whenever your appointment is?

It is at the discretion of the psychiatrist. When were you seen last? Hopefully, you can explain the situation and get something scheduled quickly for after you get back. Best wishes!

Pharmacy may give you a day or two worth if the med but if you can’t see your doc before you leave call and ask him for a script. That will solve the problem…..

Call your doctor and ask him to call in a prescription to the pharmacy.

You'll get enough until your next appointment, don't worry. I play this game every month with Concerta 😁
