Dealing with extreme anxiety

Hello all. My name is Mark. Yesterday I really felt as though I was going to have a heart attack. My anxiety keeps getting worse. I am here looking for support and advice.

Hi Mark, I can certainly sympathize with your situation. I was diagnosed with GAD three years ago after my second kidney transplant and it has not been well controlled since. I have a great psychiatrist and counselor who listen to me and actively involve me in the progression of treatment. This would be one thing that I would suggest that, if you have not already done so, find the same thing. Whatever you do, don't try to go it alone.
