I'm having to come off my medication for the first time in 7 years as it's caused me some pretty severe health issue. I'm possibly hearing from a psych this week to discuss my options but I fear they're just gonna tell me to cold turkey it. I've managed to half my dose in 5 months, but I'm starting to struggle. I've began to hate my body and my body image issues are getting worse again. I have BPD so I've just been non-stop crying all day. I'm isolating myself from everyone.
Please if you have any tips for managing getting off anti-depressants and mood stabalisers I'd really appreciate it because GP's and mental health team don't seem to have much to offer right now.

Usually they switch you to a different medication, instead of just quitting.
You seem to be doing and going through the correct pathway, although I wonder if your Mental Health has returned. Sometimes when reducing your medication can cause unpleasent side effects until you are of the medication.
When I reduced my medication to a holding dose it took me time to get used to the the lower dose, sometimes we MAY need to increase the dose once more for a period of time, however your Therapist will keep you on the correct pathway.
Were you able to sort out cause and effect of your Mental Health Condition. That can help ?.
