Physical symptoms of loneliness/depression

Due to COVID I'm experiencing loneliness and depression for the first time. I'm having physical symptoms: breathing issues, (not hyperventilating) but breathing pauses, or a "hiccup" in my breathing. Never had this till now. Does anyone else experience this or something like it?

Hi worrwen, I know exactly what you are feeling. I wouldn't be surprised if you

were holding your breath at times w/o realizing it. That could cause that pause

and then hiccup in your breathing. The body always compensates for any irregularities

we may subconsciously put ourselves through.

I'm happy to Welcome you here to this safe site where you can express your

inner most feelings and not feel so alone. I'm glad you are here with us. :) xx

Hi, It sounds to me like your symptoms may be more of anxiety than anything else. Do you have any access to relaxation techniques.. YouTube has a lot of helpful guided meditation and stress reducing audio programs.. Maybe try them . Just a thought.

Firstly welcome to this kind supportive community☺️ I sometimes have those breathing pauses but I don’t know if it has to do with my asthma or not i try to calm myself down when it happens
