Experiences of increasing sertraline dose from 50mg to 100mg?

I've been on Sertraline for anxiety, agoraphobia, and depressive tendencies since the beginning of December 2020. After a rough two weeks of side effects I felt miraculously better, like a brand new person. Seriously, I couldn't believe it. But during the last month or so, I've felt things starting to slip again and I'm now back to panicking whenever I leave the house. I've told my GP, and she is upping my dosage from 50mg to 100mg. Can anyone let me know what to expect? Or offer any guidance outside of that? I was on propranolol for 18 months which helped but then became a hinderance and I have therapy every week. So I'm kind of at a loss of what to do next, but anxious about increasing the Sertraline. Hoping someone can offer advice Thanks x x

Sertraline helped me a lot with my anxiety when i first started taking it. I didn’t experience any adverse reactions in the increase of dosages. I did eventually stop because the increase did also cause an increase in side effects( mainly sexual) that had a larger affect on my relationship and life.

I LOVED increasing my dose to 100mg. What a difference!! I had major agoraphobia along with depression and anxiety. When my doctor upped the dose, it helped so much. They also added Abilify, which I find SO helpful as well. Best of luck to you! Keep positive
