Got my first vaccination. Next one in 3 weeks. They say the second one is a killer. They had it at SUNY Oneonta. National Guard everywhere. made me feel old. They all seemed so young. A man & a woman came over to see if I needed a wheelchair. I did as I forgot my cane. (No sense of balance) I said to the young man "Good Lord you're young. Do you even shave yet?" The woman managed to suppress a laugh which I thought was very rude of me so I turned to the woman & made the encounter well balanced. "I know you shave. But does he?"
I think the young man hurt himself trying not the laugh.
There now I've insulted them both equally. Can't accuse me of bias here.

One of the many perks of getting old. People can be very forgiving.
When my mom died my aunt Effie came to live with us. She brought her border collie Sam. She would take the dog out back and scooped up the poop with a kid's sand shovel. She would then toss the poop over the fence into the neighbor's yard. I was shocked! "Aunt Effie! You can't do that!"
"Why not? What's the point of getting old if you can't do whatever you want?"
Point well taken and I have taken her advise ever since.

I have my second one coming at the end of the month. I go to SUNY in Oneida county. Please let us know how things go over the next 24 hours.
My wife had both of he shots with zero side effects with both. I had body aches and a fast heart rate that started 24 hours after my shot. It lasted from 6 pm I fell asleep at 10 and woke up symptom free. I did take Advil and a Benadryl prior to bed because I felt I was have a little allergic reaction that’s why I took the Benadryl.
Hi ahh that made me laugh,I think as we get older our we tend to go back to being like children and say what comes into our head.I live in UK and felt really Ill after my first vaccine had headache from hell for 10 days,was getting breathless,fluey,fever, fatigue,it was very similar symptoms of Covid I too am concerned about getting second one Most people seem to be okay and have a mild reaction.It depends on your health ,my body is sensitive to anything it doesn't recognize and reacts badly.I know with the astra Zeneca vaccine you are 87% protected with first one which is pretty good.
I read that your body reacts to the vaccine as it would if you have an infection.Temperature, increased heart rate and sometimes blood pressure too. It's bearable as long as it doesn't last too long.
Hello I had my first jab Saturday just gone and I've been so ill pain dizzy feeling sick and now very fatigued and sleepy. Not looking forward two the second one at all .
