I decided I'm not going to have a birthday anymore. But that doesn't mean I don't celebrate being alive yet another year. Oh no no. I have Cake Day instead because given a choice would you rather give birth or have cake? Cake please!
And while we're at it I do not make New Year's resolutions. We all know how they work out. No one keeps them. (Clear a path for all those who will object) However, in my mind a promise is a sacred thing. Special occasion promises doubly so. Death bed promises, marriage promises, Cake Day promises. If I truly want to do something I make myself a Cake Day promise that by this time next year I will do such & such. Word games I know. Whatever it takes to get to your goals.
