Hi guys. It’s Shnookie. It’s 4:15 AM in Los Angeles CA. Have throbbing headache 🤕 was so pleased yesterday to receive my

First dosage of Moderna vaccination arm and body a little sore and achy. Then little later checked my voice mail and received message that my dear friend Margie suddenly passed away from a heart attack.

Fortunately pulled my car over on road, made a gasping sound but didn’t cry

Felt shocked numb was on the way to a job assignment reached out to a good friend who was very supportive knew I had to get it together and completed my assignment

Then reached out to a mental peer specialist Physically I have let myself go impulsive eating heaviest I’ve ever been.

Huge financial stress owing back rent due to COVID set back and my cousin helping me out financially has greatly gone down. I feel overwhelmed. I know that I need to start using my cognitive skills. Take a step back and regroup. Thank U for letting me vent.

Hugs 🤗 to all S

I’m so sorry Shnookie for your loss. I think it’s especially hard when it’s sudden because you’re not expecting it. Are you feeling some shock too? As for the compulsive eating do you think stopping yourself by asking am I hungry might work? Drinking water adding Metamucil 3x a day I’ve heard may fill your stomach? The problem with stress eating is (at least for me) later the extra weight affects my self esteem and body image. The financial issues w/ Covid is tough And I offer my prayers/ praying always helps me. Pm anytime- my advice sucks sometimes, but I’ll listen. Love your positivity in previous posts!

Thank U so much for your support and great tips. Re my friend's death, I feel numb and feel like something is stuck in my body. If I could cry It would make me feel better. However I can't force this to happen. Yes I have metamucil at home for digestive reasons but will definitely start taking it. Yes being at the heaviest point in my life does affect my self-image and I can physically feel the weight because I have gained a lot of it in my stomach. I also have not been exercising This is a project I must start for a number of reasons including the fact that finding size 14 clothing is not always easy. I have yo yoed with my weight but never to this extent. It might be better to lose it in smaller amounts to start with. Since I feel comfortable in this group, that is why I vented to you guys. I usually try to be a nurturing mother earth type but sometimes things go off the rails. I'm also going to try to use my cognitive skills and break things down in my efforts to lose weight.

Be well my friend. Hugs S

Thank U 4 your good wishes. Still feeling a little strange and numb. U R correct that it does take time. Somehow in my mind I still think of calling her up I spoke to her during COVID 4 to 5 times a week. I know and have chatted with her husband but I really think he knew how close I was to Margie to leave me the message of her passing. It was a decent thing to do and good 4 mysanity because I would be trying to call her and nobody there because they R with her daughter in New Jersey and probably will be there 4 some time Thanks 🙏 to everyone 4 there support. Hugs 🤗 S

I am sorry for your loss, my friend from Wales who I had not seen for a couple of years died. The trouble was I did not get the message, my phone number was changed, when we changed our provider. I was sure that I had let her know our new no. Anyway we phoned each other every few months. I rang in the jan. she had died in Nov. the year before. I was upset to be told by her husband she was gone, but more upset for him to have to tell me whenhe thought I knew. I have knownn her for 30 yrs. since my kids and hers were young. We met in a holiday camp, she was lovely I still miss calling her and hearing her lovely welsh accent. All I can say is I was glad she had come into my life, as I am sure you feel the same about your friend.

What a lovely 😊 way to remember your friend. I live in Beverly Hills, CAand met my friend Margie at our local Starbucks. Last year and this year especially because of COVID we spoke to each frequently and in fact this year we were speaking to each other on the phone 4 to 5 times a week. I’m very pleased that her husband l eft me the voice mail of her passing. I would have been calling w/o a response and would have been very worried that no one was there to pick up. I don’t have her husband or son’s cell phone numbers

and they flew to New Jersey to be with their family. I’ll miss her but think of the fun times we had together.
