I watch tv most of the day as I've lost my job due to covid always been a strong person I live on my own so it's really hard I tried reading last nite but it didn't help I can full asleep just like that but I'm up after 2 hours thank you
Hi Bella yes my anxiety is virtually the same as yours except I'm not being sick. My anxiety gets a bit better as the day goes on. Reading helps later on in day.
Thank you for you reply I read before I go to sleep which helps x are you on any medication for yours?
Yes have been on Prozac for a week. I slept from 11-4 last night. Im always shaking in the morning. R u on any medication? Like u I have been quite a confident person but it has been one thing after another the past few months
Yes I'm on citalapram was on 20mg but put it up to 40mg last week I felt great but this week has been terrible I go to bed at 10 and awake at 12.30 go downstairs for water and then back to bed but my mind is working overtime I also dont have anything to worry about just being on my own x
I can relate to all your symptoms, its truly awful feeling like this, remember your not alone. I am having about 2 hours sleep at night not being able to switch off racing thoughts. Also no appetite. I just want my life back. Hope you feel better once your medication kicks in. Take care x
I wish I could take away anxiety when I feel that way I cry because it relieves anxiety for me anyway concentrate on your breathing too
I am sorry you are having such a rough time right now. I now the feeling of having uncontrollable anxiety and feeling powerless over it. I have a few recommendations. The first is mindfulness. I would look into it and start to practice it as much as you can. It's a tool to help keep us present in the moment. This will allow you to recognizer the thoughts and fears that cause you anxiety. From there you can start to rationalize them away. It doesn't work overnight so stick with it. The other thing I can recommend is grounding. Grounding can be useful in the moment and also helps to keep you present.
Hi Bella, I was reading the post just now and if these symptoms are new it very well may be the jump in citalopram dosage. My doc tried increasing me up to 40 mg bec. I guess that dose is best for anxiety but I couldn’t tolerate it. Talk to your doc if the symptoms correlate to dose adjustment. Best of luck to you!
