Waiting made easier w/Teledoc

This old man has done so much to embrace technology however engaged in it , admittedly at times hate it and miss my Big Chief tablet and super thick #1 red pencil. LOL

For first time in my 50 year worklife l was "fired" legitimately in Dec. 2020 for a mistake. This created a ripple affect in my life ie.. job change, insurance change, doctor change, phone change, hours change, group therapy affiliation change, income etc etc blah blah blah.

So now I'm waiting two months to become a new patient. Appointment March 2nd. I see I'm going to run out of Clonazepam well before then. I've had much experience with medical community and clearly see my choices with this "controlled substance " .

A) pay out of pocket to see same doctor ( can't afford that)

B) safely taper down off Clonazepam on approved schedule. Then discuss at March Appointment

Then as I began the slow 🐌 crawl out of the pit I find myself in I learn that with my new insurance I sought out and secured they have a "Teledoc " free mental health benefit. By this time its February, I have income through Uber, retirement bennies otw, tax check otw , family assistance, and I have followed a taper schedule for over a month and I am down from 2mg. Clonazepam to .375 mg. Going slow and withdrawal is obvious. Very potent medicine that I been on 2 years. On this schedule ill be off it in 2 more weeks. My TELEDOC appointment was yesterday. It was awesome. Very supportive and gave me piece of mind. TELEDOC doctor cannot prescribe control substances or antipychotics. I was on the phone 30 minutes with doc.i did most of the talking. He called in at local pharmacy a low dose of Trazadone to supplement the 300 mg. Of venlafaxine I continue to take and have enough stock of. Trazadone will help with my insomnia and new anxiety. Took first dose last night and welcomed the sedation. Slept 👍 great feel better this morning. I know it takes time to feel real full effect. TELEDOC ROCKS and I'm on a better path as I wait for my face to face appointment and new therapy TELEDOC is my BRIDGE. Thank God you have once again made a way where there was no way🙏
