I have very high empathy and compassion toward others, but not myself. When my friends or family members come to me, I do my best to lend an ear and make them feel better, When I make a mistake, I beat myself pretty hard most of the time. I recently watched this and it helped me see things in a different way.

Hello and welcome! I have immense trouble with this as well. I tend to neglect my own wellbeing at the expense of helping others. We are our own worst critics, but some of us seem to have this to the extreme level. I am not sure why. I will look at the video, so thanks for that!!
