I'll go first:

The therapeutic watering a plant for 3 years to realize it's not a real plant.

Hey...what ever works!

Your turn! What are your self cares? (little or big)

🤣🤣🤣 Seriously? This reminds me of coming home from a trip several years ago to be told by my husband that he watered our two plants. It was then that I broke the news of their plastic nature...But hey, you're right; whatever works!

One of mine is reading.

What kind of things do you read?

in reply to LulaBeth

I love mysteries and psychological thrillers. Sounds ironic with what I've gone through on here recently, but I enjoy it.

Doing exercise and sometimes a bit of art and music or going to the mountains.

Amazing Jimtom!What music? What art?

What do you do for workout?

I love doom metal and running!

I do a lot of music!

in reply to LulaBeth

I used to draw a bit so I do it sometimes.

Music, ska, punk, prog rock but I'll give most things a listen. I listen to loads of music too.

I do some weight training and running.

Talking to a friend openly about your anxiety and ignoring your mind telling you that you are being a burden.

Coconut water is good for hydration too. It has natural electrolytes. I like ginger kumbacha instead of beer.

Thank you for the tip Blueruth... I'm going to have some in

the house next time my daughter is over. She is Anorexic and her

electrolytes go dangerously low at times. Thank you so much :) xx

The therapeutic drifting on a Stand up paddle board on water. It's really great and calming, I luv it! I mean, many do SUP to exerciese and workout but I'm just gliding there like a snail, taking in the moment of being on the water :)

Now I wanna go buy a paddle board 😂

Sugold profile image
Sugold in reply to Nursegirl38

why not, you can do it alone, so it's covid-secure at least now 😂

Nursegirl38 in reply to Sugold

I definitely just bought one! I have been on the fence about buying one and that was definitely a sign I needed to get one!

really, you won't regret it! once you're on the water the first time, you'll feel like so many things will be happening, look forward to experience it ;)

Sugold, what an experience that must be :) xx

it is sometimes really unimaginable and mesmerizing. there is the blue or green water under you, you feel the ripples and small waves directly beneath your feet, you pass by greenery and trees, ther's the sky above your head, the clouds get reflected beneath the board... strongly recommended 300 % for therapeutical effects as bonus!

Sugold what a beautiful visual response in what you see and feel while doing

this. I was starting to go into a meditated state. Thank you :) xx

We can start seeing the beautiful things spontaneously once we get into this practice, I'm sure you can experience this feeling outside or even when you stay home ;) whatever you're doing, start noticing the "Here and Now" and you'll maybe see more

I have another good Self Care Moment: (Snowy climate friends will understand)

Kicking the built up snow chunk from under the wheel well on your vehicle.

So satisfying.

My bedroom is finally just self care. I have a basket of yarn and cat toys, drawing and journaling stuff, diffuser and candles. Nice speaker and a small area for my yoga meditation. Oh and a hue light for different moods.

I did do that once but kept looking at it funny like there is something about it that wasnt right. It took a week but yep.... Plastic. I like to play sports to keep my mind off things. Otherwise watching for old coins and collecting them.
