Hi Faith. See my post just above. You are so welcome here! You’ll definitely find that many of us, including me, suffer from health anxiety, and comparing notes can be really cathartic. We’re here to support and share. Great people. So happy that you found us!
Faith.....Health anxiety is unpleasant, as I know only too well. There is a lot of good stuff online to help you deal with it. Here is a link which may assist with this and a lot of other matters: selfhelpguides.ntw.nhs.uk/n... .
Hey, I'm new here too. I'm hoping we could talk about how to deal with these issues
Currently I'm am finishing up a 12 hour overnight shift at the hospital I work at. My anxiety has been bad most of the night. I get off in 30 min and I'm on the verge of a panic attack at this moment. I just took a xanax hoping it will kick in soon enough so i can leave before i break down in front of my coworkers.
Seems like the anxiety you have is pretty deep. Why don't you try hard and think about one moment in your life that made you wanna live. Just any moment that made you happy. It could be a person, a thing, or a situation. Just take a moment to think about this and try calming yourself down.
I know heh, but tell me not in details we don't want to impinge but enxiety sterm from something and from my experience as one who suffers from it I know what triggers it. Have u started dealing with the root of the problem? There are many ways of dealing with it which have been proven and I am sure you know a few of those. Like Journaling staff, breathing exercises which have been a life saver for me and many more which I guess our friends will also share with u. It been years u have been living with this and I am happy u have finally started finding ways to deal with it. They say first base if discovering it and second base is finding solutions for it and I am proud of u for that. Hope u will find help..
Me too. I’ve bruised myself checking for lumps and bumps. I think I feel a pain but when I touch the spot, no pain. Sending you good thoughts!
Hi Faith! I think I have health anxiety as well. It's been months I'm still undiagnosed. I've seen a psychologist after doctors refer me to her for counseling. First thing she told me, you can try Xanax, if you feel better then all your symptoms are anxiety. I thought, what? I'm new to this anxiety thing. As a mom as well, I do have lots of stress, but I never felt so anxious as nowadays (as doctors have no clue what's actually going on with me, that leaves me with feeling of worry and doubts). Pandemic situationa and lockdown make it even limited to access the treatments. I've done acupuncture once and massage and I think it contributes to make me feel bit better. I hope we can get out of this together and share.
