Anybody ever had any trouble with sinus pressure and ear fullness/pressure when starting an anti-depressant? If so, does it seem to go away? I’m currently on week four of taking 5 mg of Citalopram and still having ear pressure/fullness.

Ear fullness with Anti-depressant
Hi , yes I had that also does get better may need to increase the dose I started on 10mg now on 30mg after 5 months lot of side effects headaches, bad stomach need to talk to you GP as everybody is different
Mine wasn’t too bad but I changed to Escitalopram due mainly to hot flushes, not sleeping and peeing all the time when on Citalopram. However, ALL side effects disappeared within 2 days of switching poor sleep took a week longer to resolve. Escitalopram is more expensive and so is not the first prescribed- I think uk (at least) med guidelines advise doctors to only consider it after 2 others (including citalopram) have proved unsuitable. I would def recommend switching if side effects not gone after 6 weeks. I feel more or Jlss ‘normal again’ on Escitalopram.
5mg is such a small dosage to begin with, normally it's common to start on 10mg and sometimes that's enough but many people need to go higher, It took me 40mg to benefit and it took several weeks. Anti depressants increase touch and temperature sensation's so it could be that and can take a long time to pass but you may need to increase the dosage, just because your having side effects doesn't automatically always equal to more side effects or worsen. Personally if you haven't already I would get you ears checked as a double ear infection isn't uncommon, and if you recently had COVID or any other upper respiratory infection (cough) then ear infections are greatly increased after. It's not a symptom of COVID or any other upper respiratory infection but it is something that occurs afterwards.
