Hi I just did the same after about 3 weeks on 50mg....and v much on same learning curve....upping the dose caused me a few days diarrhoea, some dizziness (although that might also have been the beta blockers I was put on) and I was a bit more anxious for a few days before the new dose kicked in after about 5 days. I'm now back at work and really pleased to say i feel great at the moment although too early to say for sure how long it will last. Also doing some counselling and booked in for CBT...
I was started on Sertraline in March for GAD, first 50mg, then 100mg which I am still on. It certainly takes a while to work, but I have found that alongside CBT (I did the NHS online course), Headspace and The Mindful Movement on YouTube, I am now feeling much better. Keep going . There is light a the end of the tunnel.
I'm currently on 200 mg of Sertraline, honestly I haven't had any serious side effects. When I went from 150 mg to 200 mg I had a few days of dizziness, but nothing so bad that I couldn't still go about my day. The only side effect I've had, or at least I think Sertraline is the cause of, is an increase in my acne, but that's about it.
I'll probably be going up next time I see my provider in 2 weeks, probably 250 mg and then maybe even 300 mg. I have depression, social anxiety, and OCD. The higher dose is to treat the OCD. My depression and social anxiety have improved immensely, and that started at the 100 mg dose. Hope this helps.
