burning feet/hand sensation

has anyone experienced the following sensations: feeling burning feet inside but cold the touch or feeling ice cold inside but warm to the touch? i also feel it in my hands/arms. i started having this sensation about a week ago and i’m trying so hard to not let it control my thoughts and panic attacks but i can’t seem to find out what’s wrong with me. i got blood test done & they mostly came back normal (i just have low vitamin d)

my doctor told me that i could be feeling this bc i’m crossing my legs too much when i sit since my labs are normal or it could be my anxiety producing this symptom

however, when i first got this sensation, i was getting better with my health anxiety and even my therapist recommended we stop doing weekly appointments so i don’t think it’s anxiety(?) plus, my usual physical anxiety symptoms are chest pain, shortness of breathe, & heart palpitations

this has been taking an emotional toll on me and i feel really lost & i’m terrified that it’s due to a more serious issue & or develop something more gradual or serious from this

it’s making me lose all of my hope & making my health anxiety & panic disorder really skyrocket :(

it’s a really uncomfortable sensation that just came out of nowhere for me (but thats how anxiety works also) but thank you for commenting, it brings me relief that other people know what i’m experiencing

I know exactly how you’re feeling. It will pass the less you focus on it. Keep yourself busy

i’m pretty young to be experiencing any of nerve damage without having injuries so this has been pretty scary :( i usually try to keep myself busy, but it’s hard sometimes i really do appreciate you commenting💗

hi again! i was wondering what made the sensation go away for you? or what helped you out?

For me what made it go away was accepting what I was feeling! So the more we focus on the sensation we are feeling the more it’s going to stay. You gotta keep yourself busy and try not to focus on it too much :)

you are so right. i accepted the sensation and it went away quickly- sometimes i feel it but i am sure it’s anxiety and my dr felt the same way.
