I have been dealing with depression since I was a teenager, but only realised two years ago that what I was going through were not the usual problems of any teenager/young adult.
Since then I have tried different medications and therapeutic approaches, and now I have finally found something that seems to work for me.
But I’m still having a hard time adjusting to all the changes in my life this year.

Hi Nia! Welcome to HU! This site is filled with wonderful and caring people.
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been struggling but I’m glad you have been proactive in finding a solution for you.
Don’t be too hard on yourself for any difficulties your having adjusting. It’s normal to experience this, especially considering how awful this year has been for the majority of us.
I also struggle with depression, some days are easier than others. But the most important thing is that we never give up on ourselves.
Hey there and welcome!! I wish you the best of luck here, I'm sure you'll find amazing people who will try to help you if you need it, feel free to share anything you want and whatever you need to get rid of your chest ✨
Welcome Nia. Give yourself grace when it comes to changes. The changes that stick tend to be the ones we take our time building. You will have off days the key is to never quit trying and build a village of encouragers (both online and offline) and a veritable toolbox of coping skills to arm yourself against the challenges that come with life and stress. Praying for you!
