Hi all I need advice Ive been going thru something at work in which I had to put a large complaint in about how a colleague was treating me, they treat it as bullying at work, I've been on the sick with major anxiety/low mood through it.
Now back at work they've dropped my complaint against colleague, but when I see colleague at times now I get very tense/sweaty/anxious and it's really starting to get to me again I'm not sure how I can get over it.

Yea, I remember the bully at my job...he is still here and i still get anxious when i see them. But i dont let them get under my skin so much. The world is full of abnormal people and we are surrounded by jerks at times.
Remember that you were strong enough to put in that complaint. As a result that person is now being looked at by the Company more carefully, if anything happens in the future THEY will be in trouble not you.
The only way to defeat a bully is to stand up to them, don’t think that because they are still there that you have failed. They are still there to remind you how brave you were and because you see them regularly they will make you even stronger.
You need to rehearse in your head how you will respond when you see this person.
Get in a relaxed mood and imagine the last time you saw this guy. Are you going to walk past him and avoid him, if you see him again? If the answer is yes (which is the right thing to do because it’s not your fault he is a bully) Then just walk past him in your head, keep imagining this until you no longer feel panicky. Walk, Walk, Walk.... what can he do? Nothing as the Company is watching him, you have all the power. You have done nothing wrong so don’t let him control your emotions. There is nothing wrong with you.
