Looking for advice on how to make new friends. I'm in my later 20's.
I find it hard to really connect with most people. Im actually very sociable and can get along with just about anyone, and have a good deal of people who reach out to me wanting to spend more time with me, but I just don't get any satisfaction spending time with these people on my free time.
I have always had very few, very strong and trusting friends, but lately those bonds just feel hollow and I don't feel like I get anything from them.
My main hobbies are gaming and creative pursuits, and as much as ive looked I have never found a single online community or in-person social group that I feel like really fits me.
Summary: How do you find new friends as someone who doesn't fit into social groups and only appreciates strong relationships.

Hello glassbulb and welcome to this HealthUnlocked community! You mentioned you'd had friendships before that were strong. How did you find those friends? Meeting people with shared interests may be a starting point to developing strong friendships. What sort of gaming do you enjoy and what creative endeavors?
They were very old friends ive known for 6+ years, and I met them all through gaming. The problem is I'm not feeling the same inclination for games like I once did, and the people I find through games now are not people im interested in.
Video games on PC and nintendo switch, of many different types.
Mostly I have an interest in game development, but right now I tend to drift from digital art, DIY stuff, and misc stuff, and don't have enough experience or drive in any of these to relate to people in these types of communities. I was making connections through game development, but havent had the drive for it since depression first hit.
