Is it normal to get overwhelmed and punch myself, because I seem to do that when I get stressed. I also think about how I would kill myself but I know that I could never go through with it. Does anyone have any advice?

sholiday, rather than using physical force on yourself, it would be much safer

as well as effective in taking your aggression out by punching a pillow. Another

release is to find a spot to call your own and scream, rant and rave.

What is it that makes you want to hurt yourself? The stress you are feeling is a powerful emotion and needs to be addressed by a professional. (especially if you are in harm's way)

It’s generally the feeling of doing something wrong, or not understanding a math problem for example. Recently I’ve been able to stop hurting myself fully but light scratching sometimes comes back. I’ll try those ways next time thank you!

Hi, please don't punch yourself when you feel overwhelmed with emotions. If you don't have someone to talk to,write your emotion down in a paper. I also do that and after pouring my frustration on the paper, I really feel better. And feeling suicidal is something I understand really well , try to distract yourself by listening to music. I also listen to my favourite songs when I feel suicidal.

Not any medical advice, but I would say to monitor your thoughts about killing yourself. If you start developing a plan to do so, I would seek help from a medical professional. You say that you would never go through with it, which is a good sign. What do you feel is causing your frustration or to become overwhelmed?

I feel as though it’s when I mess up or do something wrong that it gets the worst. Or when I get stressed about schoolwork.
