Zyprexa or gabapentin

Anyone taken either of these for anxiety

I had bad side effects with both so I don't like either but I"m sure someone here has had good luck with one or maybe both. I hope you are able to find relief from one or the other.

I tried zyprexa. It was good for anxiety but I gained lots of weight in a short time (3 months) and stopped using it. If you need it for a few weeks or so it is great. If your doctor chooses it for a longer period weight gain maybe an issue.

Then it may be a good shot. My current doctor thinks it is a good choice only in intense anxiety for a short term treatment. I was also on Celexa. Now I am on Cymbalta and Celexa. Good luck.

I was on zyprexa for about a year, pretty low dose for depression and anxiety with Prozac. It helped for awhile but it is not a great long term solution. Lots of long term side effects. I been off for about 3 or 4 months and feel a lot more like myself again. Still in 10 mg of Prozac. Tapering off zyprexa is really hard, it took me about 4 months and was scary at times. I’d discuss many options with u you our doc and then research. Good luck and reach out if you have more questions.

I Have taken gabapentin, seroquel and trintelix. It is helping me.

Gabapentin has helped me a lot BUT I am trying to switch only to CBD as I have gained way too much weight from it(25lbs) and continue to retain water. I also am having memory problems from it. I have taken 300mg 1 to 3 times a day for at least 2 years.

Zyprexa is poison and hell to get off of!
