I am new here! Hello all. Has anyone ended up with severe anxiety from having Covid-19, only to finally get rid of the Covid-19 but be stuck with the anxiety and now having trouble managing it? Im 51, got over the illness of Covid, 90% so far, I still have weak appetite and taste issues, but now I get severe anxiety as a result. I can't be the only one, but getting help is hard to find locally. I am on medicine which I just started and I am thinking of seeing a psychologist if I can actually find one to see me quickly...

I'm glad you're getting better, I've not been sick with covid but yes with anxiety, I think I had a huge head start worrying. Compared to usa. I think there was more news coverage about it, my best friend was traveling to Africa I was worried for her I was worried about family in usa and Sweden, people I didn't know I worried about.

I still have anxiety about Covid-19, it started in December when it was first known for me in Sweden. (I'm American living in Sweden) I already have anxiety and depression, PTSD, etc. I'm honestly glad I didn't over take my meds that's how much anxiety I had.

The more information I could get about the virus the better I felt, the not knowing made my anxiety off the chart.

I wish you good luck with your health, both physical and mental.

Thank you for your story, Even though I haven't had the virus I just wanted to respond and wish you well.

There are several online or by phone therapists, maybe that would be an option for you to research or ask your Dr.

My sister is a therapist and that's v what she's been doing with some of her patients.

Hey anxiousdad69, this might be the worst time for you from a lot of viewpoints, but there still is a viewpoint that makes the situation positive and full of learning but you will only be able to realize that if you change your perspective and change the way you have interpreted this situation.

Trust me, it is all about how you visualize a situation which makes it positive or negative.

Dealing with anxiety is tough but think about how this time is the perfect time to look within and find answers to all your problems. We usually look for solutions from the outside world for our problems but isn't it a fact and the ultimate truth that all answers lie within you. All you need to do is keep asking WHY. This time is the perfect time to learn something new, give yourself some time off and just relax. Look at the positive side and the moment you accept it, you will feel happy.

All of this is something that I have tried and they have worked and I by no means want to keep this with me.

For the same, I started a community on Facebook recently named RealTalk recently. Based on my experiences, I have also made a PDF containing different ways that worked for me and why they worked. You can access the PDF on the group and the group itself through this link bit.ly/2ELefqH

I hope I was able to add some value to your life and it definitely would be great to connect with you in the RealTalk community. Would love to see you there.
