hi. I have been having sleep issues for the past three days. Whenever im about to fall asleep i feel my breathing pause and my heartbeat stop and i have to get up to breathe. it keeps me up all night. What could it be? Once i was up all night and felt like my brain would shut down. It gives me so much anxiety and I'm scared of nights now due to this reason. I also have a dry throat at nights. Please help.

sleep issues, could it be anxiety?
I would go see a doctor for that, I have never heard of anxiety doing that I could be wrong but to me it could be something serious. If you feel like your having an anxiety attack, try eating something sore or something minty it will help you change your mindset or drink a soda and breathe in and breathe out the sugar in the soda will change your mindset. If you have anything that you can feel while you have an anxiety attack, for example something hard or something soft or something you can touch that will help you focus on that vs. on your anixety attacks. What works for people is a pen, the end of the pen that makes that clicking noise, people like the noise of it and it helps them change there mindset or before bed write down everything that is bothering you and stressing you out and take deep breathes and hopefull all this helps if its anxiety, if its not anxiety highly recommend seeing a doctor. If you ever need anyone to talk to, you can message me on this app.
Yes, see a dr. You could have sleep apnea or heart rythym disorder. I used to be bothered by the sound of my heart beat in my ears, feeling it in my chest, and noticing it was very irregular. Found out I have very frequent PVCs. Preventricular contractions. Harmless, but may make me lightheaded. Knowing what they are and that it doesnt matter helps alot. Plus there are treatment options. So very glad i checked it out.
