Why do I lose my temper for no reason and only realise the damage I’ve caused after the fact. It’s like I have mist and don’t remember things and why I go off on one. I’m picking fault when there’s no need My hand was clenched and held in a threatening manner towards my wife on a number of occasions, I’m not proud of this I’m frightened. I approached my GP and he prescribed citalapram and directed me to the Well-being. I finally had an assessment over the phone yesterday and I have an internet appointment on the 15/9 I’m at a loss everything is taking too long I need help or I’m going to lose the kindest and most precious person.

Why?
There are a number of reasons you can be angry suddenly. Do you believe your anger comes from anxiety/depression or anger management?
Anxiety/Depression can cause you to be angry because you feel violated, threatened or attacked, especially if you have low self esteem. We perceive things as bigger than they are sometimes and think we need to be defensive at times you don't need to at all. Feeling powerless or hopeless
is another reason we strike out for no reason. You get angry so that you feel more powerful to try to make yourself feel better, it never works. High levels of stress or anxiety
falls into this category as well. Anxiety and depression can be so overwhelming at times.
Sometimes and can be a real reason behind your anger i.e. you're being disrespected or treated unfairly. Have you been passed over for a new job possibly? Another trigger for anger is being frightened or physically harmed. Being interrupted when you are trying to achieve a goal And of course there is good ole lack of sleep.
Do you recognize any of these or combination as being a trigger?
