Hi guys,
Hope everyone is coping better. Life is not perfect, but it’s pretty good. See, when you get a large plate for dinner with you favorite salad and a small side of anchovies, if you are not in to that, you will not be happy with that side and won’t eat it. Same with unpleasant events. But sometimes we do have to eat the anchovies, so discomfort might me momentary, but we re-live the moment in our life and becomes a burden, although the moment already passed. That’s why mindfulness is so helpful. Instead of focusing on that unpleasant or at times tragic situation, you focus yourself in the “now”. Not thinking for a moment about the past or the future. That’s a skill that is very helpful and helps discard negative thoughts. In anxiety there is a lot of energy waiting to be transformed into energy to exercise, to write, to create, to enjoy our existence in the quietness of one moment. You will do great if you start to focus on the now when you feel apprehension and anxiety. The medications help, but the permanent change comes from within. God bless you all, you are all capable in achieving it and relax more.
Best,
Juanxiety
